2004 Great Big Gig Set for November

During the past two years, through
its showcase of musical talents of young Atlantic Canadians
the Great Big Gig has enjoyed tremendous success raising
over $230,000. With another blockbuster line-up of entertainment
for 2004 - we're hoping to make that number much higher!

Event Description:
A black-tie gala evening showcasing youth musical talent
in support of the IWK Health Centre. Enjoy the culinary
magic of Chef Raj Gupta, Casino Nova Scotia Hotel’s
Executive Chef, along with a silent auction containing
many of those “hard to purchase” items.
Well-known musician Ian McKinnon and Starr Dobson of
ATV’s “Live at Five” are back to co-host
the evening’s festivities.

Entertainment:
Anais Guimond and her talented team of performers at
Atlantic Cirque will entertain our guests during the
opening reception portion of the evening. During dinner,
we are pleased to feature a young jazz ensemble put
together by Jeff Goodspeed from the band Canadian Primos,
a very talented young fiddler named Laura Watson, an
amazing Truro born vocalist by the name of Jana Miller,
and the most recent local Canadian Idol star, Kaleb
Simmonds. Finally, our showcase act is New Brunswick
born rising blues vocalist and guitarist, J.P. LeBlanc.
