SEPTEMBER
HR in Small Business
Pierre Battah shared his perspective on human resource issues facing small and medium size businesses today. He was the keynote speaker at the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association on September 22nd.
Career Paths
Pierre Battah spoke candidly with University of New Brunswick students in the Engineering, Computer Science and Business programs about what lies ahead as they begin to chart their lives as young professionals. He was a keynote speaker at the conference in Fredericton on September 23rd.
OCTOBER
HR at the Strategic Table
Mark Surrette delivered his perspective on the strategic role played by human resources today at the HRANS breakfast meeting which took place at the Halifax Club on October 17th. Surrette challenged practitioners to think strategically about HR and how the work they do can truly affect the bottom line.
NOVEMBER
Rewards & Recognition
Lloyd Powell spoke to a group of participants attending the Employers Council Fall Conference offering insight into what really motivates employees and how to engage them in helping affect the organization’s bottom line. Powell explored the generational differences at play in the marketplace and how best to develop your own rewards and recognition program. His talk took place on November 7th.
HR at the Strategic Table
Mark Surrette challenged over 170 people in attendance at the HRANB breakfast meeting at Crystal Palace in Moncton on November 21st to think strategically about HR and how its practices can truly affect the bottom line.
